The Limelight Hotel in Downtown Ketchum Opens This Week
The five-story hotel on Main Street in Ketchum is opening this week. The bar and restaurant opens on Wednesday and the first hotel guests arrive on Friday.
The lobby is described as not only serving as the hub of the hotel, but as the hub of a community. Located in downtown Ketchum, which is often described (and I agree) as the ideal mountain town, the hotel was created as the ideal mountain retreat - a melding of luxury and adventure, and the perfect base camp for your visit to the Wood River Valley.
Developed by the Aspen Skiing Company, the Limelight Hotel features 99 hotel rooms on Floors 1, 2 and 3, and a total of 14 Hotel Residences on Floors 4 and 5. The fourth floor Limelight Hotel Residences are scheduled for completion by the end of January and the fifth floor Residences will be completed about a month later.
The Limelight Hotel Residences are 2, 3, 4 or 5 bedrooms and are priced from $1,350,000 to $3,950,000. As I said, there are 14 Residences, and as of Christmas only four remain for sale. Yes, ten condos have sold so don't dilly-dally. Click for the MLS Listing specifications.
Here are a few details which make the Limelight Hotel and Residences different than any other hotel experience in Sun Valley:
- Who would have thought that the hippest spot for live and local music would be a hotel lobby? The Lounge will be booking Ketchum’s favorites, bound to become a favorite of anyone seeking some lively indie most evenings of the week. Ask the front desk for a schedule of who’s plugging in.
- The Hotel Limelight says right up front, "We love dogs. In fact, we’ve had a proud pup-friendly tradition for more than 40 years. After all, they live our “lighten up” philosophy better than most. Complimentary bowls and placemats mean you can leave yours at home."
- Ketchum is an amazing town to tour by bike, so the Limelight has set their guests up to explore the community on comfy cruiser and fat bikes. Stop by the front desk to grab one for an adventure shopping, dining, or just freewheeling along the city’s network of trails and bike-friendly streets.
- You probably won’t need a car for your stay in Ketchum (it really is a walking and biking town) so the Limelight Shuttle fleet will deliver you to and from your flight into Hailey, and shuttle you all around town at no charge.
- Live in Idaho? Try it yourself at a screaming deal! The Limelight is offering Idaho residents a special “local’s rate” of $99 per night for Deluxe Rooms, and 20% off all other room types. To redeem this offer, guests must present a valid Idaho ID at check-in. Available April 1 through June 21, 2017 and subject to availability.
- The Residences are finely crafted with a mountain modern flare. Some of the interior finishes include Caesarstone Quartz in the kitchen, wide plant Balboa White Oak floors in the main living areas, Provenza Sabbia porcelain floor tiles in the bathrooms, Grohe fixtues, high-end appliances like Sub-Zero, Wolfe and Miele, and of course, Sun Valley's own, Rocky Mountain Hardware cabinet hardware throughout. Details, details, the glorious details that make up the Limelight Hotel Residences.
